Generic MBA offers graduates numerous opportunities and can be a deciding factor in promotions for a managerial or executive position. Generic MBA graduates will gain knowledge in such areas as finance, marketing and human resource management. Students from different backgrounds can benefit from this programme as generic MBA provides fundamental knowledge that can be applied to any discipline. A Generic MBA increases job opportunities, better qualifies students for a chance at career advancement or helps them to effectively start and run their own business.

 

Students may complete the MBA within a minimum of 12 months and a maximum 3 years. Students who do not complete the programme by 31 October 2019, will only be able to finish their studies online.

Applicants who wish to undertake the MBA course, must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria for the first stage of the course, namely the Graduate Certificate in Management. The applicant must have ONE of the following:

 

A BACHELOR'S DEGREE

  • A Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) and at least 2 years relevant work experience

 

AN ADVANCED DIPLOMA

  • An Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree (AQF Level 6) or learning equivalent to an AQF Level 6 qualification and at least 3 years relevant work experience

 

MINIMUM 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, which includes at least 3 years middle to senior management experience or significant technical experience

 

Alternatively, applicants may get direct entry into the MBA, if they have ONE of the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent in business/commerce or related discipline and at least 3 years relevant work experience
  • A Bachelor Honours degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma (AQF Level 8) or equivalent in any discipline and at least 3 years relevant work experience

 

Generic MBA

Students pursuing the generic MBA will gain a broad range of management skills and tools as well as provide them with a more effective career path in general management. The generic MBA is beneficial because it provides students with training in a wide area of business skills. It provides a solid framework in business management and leadership which can be a prerequisite for future management and executive positions. If you are looking for a post-graduate business degree that offers a versatile, well-rounded learning environment designed to prepare you for work in the general business administration, the generic MBA may be your best option.

Students pursuing the generic MBA are required to complete 7 core subjects first, 4 elective subjects and a Final Project.

 

MBA in Entrepreneurial Management

The MBA (Entrepreneurial Management) helps students acquire the knowledge and expertise to succeed in today’s highly competitive world of business and in the local business sector.
