Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
Complete your Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in as a little as 2 years. The 2 year BBA gives participants a solid background in business and management by equipping participants with a broad-based business understanding and skill set that is applicable to the workplace and beneficial to the graduate. The BBA(Bachelor of Business Administration Degree) provides a solid foundation from which participants can pursue postgraduate studies in a range of business and management disciplines, including AIB's 12 Month MBA.

Structure
The BBA(Bachelor of Business Administration) programme consists of 20 subjects that are divided into three stages – the Diploma in Management, the Associate Degree in Management and the BBA(Bachelor of Business Administration) stage. This gives participants different exit points.
The 20 subjects of the BBA(Bachelor of Business Administration) are offered over 20 months as follows:
- 10 subjects in the first year (with two months of study break)
- 10 subjects in the second year

The BBA comprises of 240 credits (20 modules)
All students must complete a series if Core Modules, Integrated Projects, Specialisation Subjects as well as Elective Subjects.

Students pursuing the GENERIC BBA are required to complete 6 Core Modules (80 Credits), Elective Modules (140 Credits) and 2 Integrated Projects (20 Credits).

Class Schedule
BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) Participants attempt one module per month and are required to attend classes on just three days per month for each subject as follows:
- An intensive weekend workshop (two days)
- A one day revision workshop
The following outlines the delivery schedule for the BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) Programme. All the core subjects must be completed before the 2nd and 3rd stage subjects can be started.
STAGE 1: Core Modules
Students can attempt 6 core subjects in any order. Students may start in any month. Each subject is offered twice per year.
Upon completion of the Core Subjects, students may progress to stage 2 and 3.

- Students who complete between 6 and 11 subjects (inclusive of all core subjects) will be eligible to exit the course and receive a parchment for the Diploma of Management.
- Students who complete between 12 and 18 subjects (inclusive of all core subjects) having completed a minimum of 160 credit points will be eligible to exit the course and receive a parchment for the Associate Degree in Management.
- Students who complete the 20 subjects will be eligible to receive a parchment for the Bachelors Degree.

Assessment
The assessment for each subject in the BBA is:
- One examination (worth 80%)
- One assignment (worth 20%)
Notice: Participants cannot pass the subject if they do not pass the exam.

Entry Requirements
There are 2 entry points, see entry requirements of each entry point:
[1] To enroll directly into Year 1 of the BBA Programme:
Students need to have one of the following:
- Completion of one year of study at a higher education institution or equivalent which is recognized on AEI (American Education Institute) or UK Naric. (e.g. ABE Certificate Level) NB: No credit to be granted into Year 1 of the Bachelor degree OR
- Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) in six CAPE units, including two double-unit courses OR
- Successful completion of the Cambridge International Examinations or GCE A levels with passing grade in 2 subjects OR
- A minimum of 3 years work experience
[2] To enroll into TOP UP BBA Programme:
- Student need to have a recognized Advanced Diplomas or Associate Degrees to receive exemptions towards the top-up BBA
Exemptions
With regards to the request for exemptions by students of the BBA programme, AIB documented the following response:
I would like to advise that graduates the following ABE courses:
- Advanced Diploma in Business in Management
- Advanced Diploma in Business Information System
- Advanced Diploma in Financial Management
- Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management
- Advanced Diploma in Marketing
- Advanced Diploma in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management
will be granted credit status for 160 credit points in the BBA courses delivered by AIB.
These graduates will be given exemptions for the subjects totalling 160 credit points listed below in
Table 1.
Graduates of the following courses delivered by COSTAATT:
- Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Management with Accounting
- Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Human Resource Management
- Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Marketing
- Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Office Management
- Associate in Science (AS) in Management
will be granted credit status for 160 credit points in the BBA courses delivered by AIB.
These graduates will be given exemptions for the subjects totalling 160 credit points listed below in
Table 2.
Graduates of the following course delivered by COSTAATT:
- Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Management for the Protective Services
will be granted credit status for 160 credit points in the BBA courses delivered by AIB.
These graduates will be given exemptions for the subjects totalling 160 credit points listed below in
Table 3.
Graduates of the following course delivered by COSTAATT:
- Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Journalism and Public Relations
will be granted credit status for 120 credit points in the BBA courses delivered by AIB.
These graduates will be given exemptions for the subjects totalling 120 credit points listed below in
Table 4.
Graduates of the following courses delivered by TTHTI:
- Associate in Applied Science in Culinary Management
- Associate in Applied Science in Hospitality Management
- Associate in Applied Science in Food and Beverage Management
- Associate in Applied Science in Tourism Management
- Associate in Applied Science in Sport Tourism Management
will be granted credit status for 80 credit points in the BBA courses delivered by AIB.
These graduates will be given exemptions for the subjects totalling 80 credit points listed below in
Table 5.
The exemption policies are subject to change if there are changes in the curriculum of the AIB courses or in the curriculum of the abovementioned courses of ABE, COSTAATT, and TTHTI.

Cost
There are 2 entry points – one where the student enrolls into the first year or if you have a recognized Advanced Diploma in a Business Related programme you may enroll directly into a top up degree.
Option 1: Students enrolling directly into Year 1 of the BBA Programme:
Payment to AIB:
Registration Fee: AUD 50*
Examination Fee: AUD 200 per module x 20 modules = AUD 4000*
(Students may pay for 4 modules at a time)
Payment to CTS:
Registration Fee: TT$500 per semester (every 4 modules)
Tuition Fee: Covered by GATE (for GATE Approved students)
Option 2 : Students enrolling into TOP UP BBA Programme:
The cost of the TOP UP BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) Programme is based on the number of exemptions given to the candidate, which is in turn based on the previous programme completed. The following is an example of the cost of the Top Up BBA Programme.
ABE Advanced Diploma (or Level 6) Graduate may be eligible to enroll in the final 7 modules of the BBA Programme to complete their degree:
Payment to AIB:
Registration Fee: AUD 50*
Examination Fee: AUD 200 per module x 7 modules = AUD 1400*
(Students may pay for 4 modules at a time)
Exemption Fee: AUD 50 per module x 13 modules = AUD 650*
Payment to CTS:
Registration Fee: TT$500 per semester (every 4 modules)
Tuition Fee: Covered by GATE (for GATE Approved students)

- The original plus one (1) Copy of qualifications, certificates and transcripts.
- Resume and Job Letter (only if you are using a minimum of 3 years work experience to get in)

[2] Students enrolling into TOP UP BBA Programme:
- A completed application form (kindly download and complete)
- The original plus one(1) copy of qualifications (Advanced Diploma), certificates and transcripts
- One form of identification chosen from National ID card or Birth Certificate or Passport
- A completed exemption form and the syllabus of the programme you completed (Note: ABE Advanced Diploma holders are not required to provide the syllabus as AIB has already assessed this qualifications for exemption however you must still complete the exemption form).
