The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is an in-demand degree highly valued by employers in a range of industries. It gives students a solid background in business and management by equipping students with a broad-based business understanding and skill set that is applicable to the workplace and beneficial to the graduate. The BBA programme prepares students for current and future leadership roles by particularly helping them develop analytical, decision making, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. The BBA provides a solid foundation from which students can pursue postgraduate studies in a range of business and management disciplines, including AIB’s 12 Month MBA.

This programme has been officially recognised by the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) and it is also GATE approved.
The BBA programme consists of 24 subjects that are divided into three stages offered 2 years – the Diploma in Management, the Associate Degree in Management and the BBA stage. This gives students different exit points.

The BBA in Human Resource Management is designed to provide students with professional applicable knowledge of managing and developing teams planning, organizing and controlling work to effectively achieve goals and in establishing goals for performance measurement. It delivers concepts and skills to undertake recruitment, selection, induction, training and development of staff, as well as to effectively manage grievances, disputes and workplace issues.
This specialization is the most effective way to advance a career in Human Resource Management. Students graduating with this specialisation will be able to integrate HRM strategies into the organisation’s overall strategic plan. HR professionals are in demand within all sectors of industry.

Diploma (Core Subjects)
Students can attempt 8 core subjects in any order. Students may start in any month. Each subject is offered twice per year. It is best practice for students to complete all the Diploma subjects first because they need to complete all these subjects if they wish to exit with a Diploma. |

Associate Degree (Elective & Specialisation Subjects)
Students are entitled to obtain an Associate Degree in Management (Associate Degree) after successful completion of 16 subjects: 8 Core subjects + 6 Specialisation and 2 Elective subjects (for specialisation courses) or 8 Core subjects + 8 Elective subjects (for generic BBA). |
