A+

CompTIA A+ certification validates foundation-level knowledge and skills necessary for a career in PC support. It is the starting point for a career. The international, vendor-neutral certification proves competence in areas such as installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security and troubleshooting.

 

CCNA

The Cisco CCNA network associate certification validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. This curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills. The curriculum also includes (but is not limited to) the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2), VLANs, Ethernet, access control lists (ACLs).


Computer Literacy

Introduction to the computer and its components, powering on a computer, using the mouse, keyboard, CD-ROM, starting an application, playing a game, intro to a network, a general guide into the capabilities of a computer (using a media file), opening a file, closing a file, etc. Other topics include; computer and components, Windows, working with programmes, files and folders, how files and folders look, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Mocrosoft Access, Internet and Email.


Graphic Design

CTS offers a range of Graphic courses for professionals with a desire to develop competencies and enhance their skill in these areas. Our Graphic courses are fully recognized as the standard measurement of competence. A certificate of completion is awarded to all students who successfully complete the course, a fine enhancement to any resume.


Microsoft Office

Microsoft Word 2016 - Fundamentals of Microsoft word, working with text, formatting characters and paragraphs, formatting pages, printing, tables, themes and styles, mail merge, working with outlines and long documents, creating web pages with Microsoft word, inserting hyperlinks and email addresses.

 

Microsoft Excel 2016 - Creating, editing and formatting worksheets and data, performing calculations, formatting pages, graphics, page setup and printing, creating and modifying charts, report management/summarizing data.

 

Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 - The powerpoint screen, creating a presentation, working with slides, working with text, header and footer, bullets and numbering, spell checks, note pages and handouts, printing presentations, lines and borders, working with objects, clip arts and pictures, tables, organizational charts and graphs, creating animated slides, presentation design, hyperlinks, slide shows, publishing a presentation to the web, presentation design tips.

 

Microsoft Access 2016 - Planning and designing databases, working with access, building and modifying tables, building and modifying forms, viewing and organizing information, defining relationships, producing reports, creating queries, creating menus, creating web page (data access pages).


Network +

CompTIA Network+ certification proves knowledge of networking features and functions and is the leading vendor-neutral certification for networking professionals. Candidate job roles include network administrator, network technician, network installer, help desk technician and IT cable installer.

 

Server +

You will install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot servers. You will also examine the server hardware and software, server IT environment, disaster recovery concepts, and learn information and skills that will be helpful on the job.

 

Security+

CompTIA Security+ certification designates knowledgeable professionals in the field of security, one of the fastest-growing fields in IT. CompTIA Security+ not only ensures that candidates will apply knowledge of security concepts, tools, and procedures to react to security incidents, it ensures that security personnel are anticipating security risks and guarding against them.

 

Project+

CompTIA's Project+ offers a globally recognized Certificate in project management. The CompTIA Project+ certification validates the communication and business skills needed to lead projects with confidence. It provides the project manager with the skills to manage projects across the entire project cycle from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure.


Web Design

This class provides you with the concepts and skills to use HTML effectively. You get hands-on practice working with basic through advanced techniques to get the most out of your experience. First we go through the basics of using Adobe Dreamweaver. You will learn the basics of coding for web design, beginning with HTML and CSS. We use Adobe products for all our courses. For this course you will use Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Fireworks Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash and Adobe Bridge.

This class also provides the web professional with the ability to control the rendering, e.g. fonts, colours, leading, margins, typefaces, and other aspects of style of a Web document without compromising its structure using Cascading Style Sheets. Using common desktop publishing terminology, Cascading Style Sheets makes it easy for professional as well as untrained designers to make use of its features.
