CompTIA certification programs are the recognized industry standards for foundation-level information technology (IT) skills. Best known for the A+ certification, CompTIA offers many certifications in key technology areas. Many of their certifications are electives or prerequisites toward advanced certifications, such as Microsoft's MCSA and Novell's CNE.

• CompTIA A+ Certification

The technology community identifies CompTIA A+ certification as the perfect entry into an IT career.  Earning CompTIA A+ certification proves that a candidate has a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking.

• CompTIA Network + Certification

The technology community identifies CompTIA Network+ as the perfect entry into a networking career.  Earning a CompTIA Network+ certification demonstrates that a candidate can describe the features and functions of networking components, and possesses the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols and services. The exam tests technical ability in the areas of media and topologies, protocols and standards, network implementation, and network support. The exam also covers new technologies such as wireless networking and gigabit Ethernet.
