CTS College Scholarship Program

CTS College of Business and Computer Science is now awarding full-scholarships and partial-scholarships to nationals of Trinidad and Tobago.  Applications are invited from nationals of Trinidad and Tobago for the Award of Scholarships in the following programmes:

1. University of Hertfordshire – Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (UH BABA)
2. Australian Institute of Business – Bachelor of Business Administration (AIB BBA)

Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for a scholarship:

1. The applicant must be a national of Trinidad and Tobago [copy of National ID, Birth Certificate or Passport must be attached to your application]
2. The applicant must satisfy the entry requirement of the programme (see list of entry requirements here) [Transcript of programme must be attached to your application]
3. The applicant must satisfy the criteria for each of the award category chosen. [see below for list of required documents]
4. The applicant must pay a non-refundable application fee of $500 [a copy of your receipt must be attached to your application]

Category of Awards

There are four categories in which scholarships are awarded and an applicant may apply under one or more categories. The categories under which scholarships are awarded are:

1. Academic Performance
2. Entitlement to Financial Assistance
3. Contribution to Student Life at CTS
4. Outstanding performance in our Facebook Scholarship Campaign

The eligibility criteria for each of the aforementioned categories are listed below:

Category 1 - Academic Performance

CTS College recognizes and encourages academic excellence. The recipients of these awards must demonstrate impressive academic and extracurricular achievements, and show promise of engagement in the “CTS College” life based on their enrolment in past programme(s). To apply for a scholarship in this category you must meet the eligibility requirements as follows:

1. Provide evidentiary support (e.g. transcript) of academic excellence in your past programme(s) [Transcript of past programme(s) required]
2. Discuss how you have demonstrated leadership qualities, commitment to service, and your involvement in extracurricular activities based on previous programmes you have completed. [Completion of the relevant section of the Scholarship Application Form]

Category 2 - Entitlement To Financial Assistance

To apply for a scholarship in this category you must meet the eligibility requirement as follows:

1. Provide evidence of financial disadvantage [Completion of Financial Aid Form]

Category 3 - Contribution to Student Life at CTS College

This category is for current and past students of CTS College. To apply for a scholarship in this category you must meet the eligibility requirement as follows:

1. Write an essay of no more than 1000 words clearly outlining how you have demonstrated your contribution towards the “Student Life at CTS” and how your dedication and commitment have enhanced the school’s motto “Where Education is beyond Academics” [Essay must be attached to your Scholarship Application Form].

Category 4 - Outstanding performance in our Facebook Scholarship Campaign

This category is open to all scholarship applicants. To apply for a scholarship in this category you must meet the eligibility requirement as follows:

1. Write a comment/post on CTS Facebook page on “I choose CTS College …” [A screenshot of your comment/post must be attached to your Scholarship Application Form]
   

Please note: Applicants are encouraged to invite friends or others to “like” your comment/post. The winners in this category will be based on applicants with the most “Likes” to their comment/post as well as the relevance of the comments.

Application Procedure

Step 1 - Obtain Application Form

1. Download the required forms (click here for blank forms)

Step 2 - Complete required documents

Ensure you have a printed copy of the required documents:

1. Completed Scholarship Application Form
2. At least one form of ID (National ID, Passport or Birth Certificate)
3. Transcript of pre-requisite programme (to demonstrate you meet the entry requirement of the programme)
4. Completed Programme Application Form (for the relevant programme only)
   
5. Supporting documents for the award categories selected
6. Copy of receipt confirming payment of Scholarship Application Fee (payment can be made via cash, linx or credit card at CTS College)

Step 3 - Submitting your application

Submit printed copies of the required documents in an envelope addressed to:

Deadline Dates

Deadline dates for applications:

1. BA (Hons) Business Administration – 28th January 2012
2. Bachelor of Business Administration – 25th February 2012
   

Important Note:

1. Studies will be done at CTS College.
2. Only short-listed candidates will be selected for interviews
3. Interviews are expected to take place one week after the deadline dates mentioned above.
